Genji Kyoto 一年を振り返って
ちょうど1年前の今日、Genji Kyoto開館の日、世間はまだまだコロナ渦で、日本はまるで江戸時代の鎖国状態のようでした。本当にお客様にご来館いただけるのか、外国からのお客様はいつになったら来日されるのか、開館できたという喜びと期待と共に不安満載の中でのホテルオープニングとなりました。
数々の難関を乗り越え、設備とデザインとスタッフの準備をこなし、感謝を持ってお客様をお迎えすることができた一年間でした。一風変わったデザインと建築、そして贅沢なしつらいの客室、食材を厳選し良い朝を迎える美味しいご朝食の提供、日本文化と自然を感じられる庭園だけで十分だったのだろうか、それらに似合うおもてなしは出来ているだろうかと幾度となく振り返る日々でした。
この一年間、多くのお客様から心温まるお言葉をいただき、励ましていただきましたことを心から感謝申し上げます。よりご満足いただけるサービスをご提供できるよう2年目もスタッフ一同身を引き締めて精進いたす次第でございます。
ささやかながら本日、ご来館のお客様と1周年記念をご一緒にお祝いさせていただいております。

An amazing place which I highly recommend. The decoration is clean, contemporary, and comfortable. The location is right next to the river with great views. But most of all the staff were really helpful, from reserving restaurants (really important) to finding hard to find stuff in Kyoto. Bravo.

お値段はそれなりにしますが、とても良いホテルです。スタッフの方も、とても親切にご対応いただけました。場所はバス通りの外れにあり少し分かりにくいですが、とても静かで良い場所味あります。バスで行くなら、4番バスで河原町正面の停留所が近いと思います。京都駅から歩くと20分くらいかかるのでバスがオススメです。鴨川が側にあり、5階の屋上テラスから魚影が見られました。テラスにはテーブル席があり、鴨川を眺めながらのんびりできます。

The best experience we have ever had in Japan.We went as a special occasion for my wife’s birthday and it was an absolutely perfect experience! The staff were all bilingual, friendly and anticipated our needs. They made us an amazing cake for her birthday and were gracious, even when we ordered room service out of the normal hours. The bartender was super cool and all the food unique and delicious. The chef even came out to attend to our needs.

Came on a business trip, I needed a place where I could do work, have meetings, eat and drink. This place has comfortable places to get work done, a beautiful roof top garden where you can meet with people, and the chef cooks incredible food. 9月5日から7日まで２泊滞在しました。路地のようにデザインされたエントランスを入り、扉を開けると爽やかな風と心地よい音楽が迎えて来れました。細部にデザインが沢山詰め込まれたエントランス‧ロビーはウェルカムドリンクを頂きながらついつい長居してしまう程、心地よく贅沢な空間。滞在中は、コーヒーやビールを楽しまれている方も見受けられました。私は、４０４号室に滞在。部屋に入るとドーンと鴨川と清水寺が真正面に見え、テンションが上がるViewでした。初日は、天気が良く普段なら直ぐに外へ繰り出しますが、気持ち良く光が入る部屋の中でソファーに座りながら窓から見える景色や鳥達を眺める時間をゆっくり楽しみました。「ホテルの部屋から出たくない！」と正直に思うほど最高の空間でした。拘りのデザイン空間や景色など背景にインスタライブや動画配信など行うのもオススメです。畳、瓦、石畳、小石、檜木風呂などなど沢山の素材が凝縮された空間は、デザイン好きの方は勉強にもなる部屋のデザインでした。京都には沢山の宿がある中、隠れ家的な存在ながらついつい皆んなに伝えたくなるホテルでした。思い出に残る最高の滞在有難う御座いました。

Genji Kyoto exceeded our high expectations in every way! The location is within walking distance of the train station as well as many sights. There is also a subway stop 5 minutes away that will take you to many other destinations such as Fushimi Inari Shrine. Breakfast was outstanding and delivered to our room with great care. Our room (Deluxe river view I believe) was gorgeous. The icing on the cake was the hospitality of everyone here. Impeccable service - we felt like royalty! Thank you Genji Kyoto.

While the property was not personifying luxury in a traditional sense, it made up for in the sense that everything you needed was presented within minutes, from a drink in the lobby to what proved to be the most delicious breakfast we had during our travels.At the risk of being cliche, that's truly was a sense of home away from home. Genji Kyoto hotel is a very special and unique place for visitors who like Art and culture. The whole place makes people feel so comfortable (home sweet home). This hotel is the hotel with the best service that we ever received. The setting is amazing on the river (The rooftop is opened to everyone and you can have breakfast their), very quite and unique neighbourhood but very close to the main entertainment and food quarter (walking distance). The room is fantastic, and the details in which every item was chosen is nothing but genius. Again, the service level from the receptionists to the cook (wonderful). Special thanks to Mao, who helped us a lot. A real experience. Do not miss!
