Kyoto Autumn Light-up Schedule 2024

Autumn Light-up Schedule for 2024

During foliage season, many Kyoto temples, shrines and gardens are illuminated from sunset to show autumn colors in creative lighting. In Japanese they call these the "light-up" venues, and they differ from year to year. All of them charge an admission fee, which sometimes includes sweets and/or some other highlight activities. Some require advance booking. Please check before going to make sure the opening times have not changed due to weather or other reasons. The information below is for light-up times only, and does not include the daytime opening hours and charges. The prices shown are for adults. There are usually discounts for elementary school students. Please show children’s age when buying tickets.
